Team driving
Add a co-driver on the same phone, switch who is driving, and fix driving recorded for the wrong team driver.
Two drivers can share one phone and one ELD in the same truck. Each driver signs in with their own username and password and keeps their own log. Automatic driving is recorded for the driver who is currently driving.
Add a co-driver
- Stop the truck. A co-driver can only be added while the vehicle is stopped.
- Open More > Team driving (or tap Co-driver on the HOS tab).
- Under Add a co-driver, the second driver enters their Co-driver username or email and Password.
- Tap Log in co-driver.
The co-driver must be a driver of the same carrier and must have changed any temporary password first. When they sign in, the app asks them to review any unidentified driving on the truck with their own login.
Switch driving
- Stop the truck. Roles can't be switched while it is moving.
- On Team driving, tap Switch driving.
- Choose the status for the driver who stops driving: Sleeper, On duty or Off duty.
The co-driver becomes the driver; the app shows "Driving switched."
Each driver's log and status
Team driving shows both drivers with their clocks and today's totals. Tap the open-log button under a driver (for example Open Jane's log) to see or certify that driver's log. Each driver certifies their own log.
Fix driving recorded for the wrong driver
If driving was recorded for you while your co-driver was actually driving:
- On the Log tab, long-press the driving record.
- In Reassign driving to the co-driver, choose what your status was instead (for example Sleeper).
- Type the Annotation (required, 4-60 characters) and tap Propose.
- The co-driver sees the request on Team driving and taps Confirm (or Reject). It only takes effect when they confirm.
Log out the co-driver
On Team driving, tap Log out co-driver (or Log out with their name). Their remaining records upload first; if they can't, they are kept and sent once the co-driver signs in again.
At roadside
The roadside inspection screen lets the officer pick which team driver to inspect. See Roadside inspection.
