Messages with dispatch
Send and read messages with your carrier's dispatch, and read carrier announcements, from the Messages tab.
The Messages tab lets you write to your carrier's dispatch and read announcements. It is shown when your carrier has turned messaging on.
Important: do not read or write messages while driving. Stop in a safe place first.
Read and send messages
- Open the Messages tab (or More > Messages). An unread count shows on the tab.
- The Carrier tab shows your conversation with dispatch.
- Type in Message to dispatch at the bottom and tap the send button.
Each message you send shows Sent, and Read with the time once dispatch has read it. Messages sent offline show Queued (offline); they are saved and go out when you are back online.
Announcements
The Broadcasts tab shows announcements your carrier sends to all drivers, with the number of broadcasts in the tab name.
Notifications
When a message arrives, the phone shows a notification (allow notifications for EZ Logs when the app asks). Tap it to open the message. More > Notifications lists messages, DVIR updates, alerts and log reminders from your carrier; tap Mark all read to clear the unread count.
Team driving
When two drivers are signed in, each driver has their own conversation. Use the Acting as bar to choose which driver you are; the title then shows the co-driver's name, for example "Messages - Jane". See Team driving.
